Let’s Talk About It..

Pro hormones are compounds which are converted via an enzymatic process to anabolic hormones in the body. As such they will cause similar effects in the body to anabolic steroids, inducing rapid muscle and strength gains, but of a lesser magnitude than anabolic steroids, due to the rate limiting effect caused by the enzyme conversion. Therefore, pro hormone in the broadest sense is anything with a hormonal action that converts into something else that is presumably active. All hormones are really pro hormones to something else, because the amount of inter conversion between hormonal agents is nearly endless. They are usually analogs (close to or a step or two away from) the most well-known anabolics such as winstrol, trenbolene, anadrol, dianabol, turnibol, anavar, etc. Some from this list were used in the past, but were thrown out because of their harsh side effects. Some are new methylated versions derived and transformed and aren’t classified by law, yet. The bottom line is pro hormones are various types of TESTOSTERONE.

If an individual has never previously taken pro hormones then they should expect significant muscle and strength gains from their first cycle, especially if they are a young person with much scope for muscle growth. As such, dosages and cycle lengths should be kept short as even a “mild” cycle will produce significant benefits for the user and by keeping the length short we can certainly keep side effects to a minimum whilst still experiencing tremendous benefits for the user. At the other end of the spectrum, an older individual with many cycles under his belt may find that gains come a little slower, or that dosages need to be increased a little. It is my opinion that usually this is only the case when an individual is close to their genetic potential as at this point more is needed to push the body beyond its natural limits. A longer cycle may make sense, depending on the nature of the product taken, although health related side effects such as stress on liver and cardiovascular function should be carefully monitored anytime dosage or length of administration is increased.

Pro hormones were introduced on to the supplement world in 1996 by renowned US chemist Patrick Arnold who developed the supplement androstenedione and unleashed it on an unsuspecting public. The best pro hormone in a guide's opinion is the one that satisfies all of the most important categories. If you want to take a pro hormone to boost androgen levels, you need to find one that fits into your body physiology and your body chemistry without introducing foreign chemically altered steroids into your body.
